Rosie felt like a piece of crap. She didn’t want to follow the orders of Coach Porter. She refused to go to the Hospital Wing because she hit her head lightly on one of the hoops that she so desperately wanted to protect. During the walk towards the evil place filled with medics, she remembered her fall a little bit. Instead of pain, she remembered the feeling of embarrassment. A person that was actually good at Quidditch wouldn’t do such a stupid mistake like leaning way too much forward. On her way, Rosemary didn’t say anything because she felt betrayed, pissed and disappointed. Yes, her shoulder hurt. Yes, she felt like she could pass out any second. Nevertheless, her team needed someone to protect the hoops and without her there, she didn’t know who would take her role if there even anyone to replace her.

Despite still in denial, when the girl arrived at the Hospital Wing, she passed out into a deep slumber before even one of the medics could take care of her. Perhaps it had been better that it didn’t happen in the middle of the air. However, even in her dreams, her insecurities and worries about the game haunted her. The day started off so well but ended so badly. Rosemary managed to wake up just after the Quidditch game had stopped. Her first reaction after waking up was to puke, which wasn’t a good sign. It also was difficult to remember some moments of the match, especially around when she actually hit her head. One of the medics at the Hospital Wing did a few little tests to see what had happened to her head, and shoulder. Apparently, it had been a miracle that she hadn’t lost consciousness before arriving at the hospital wing because the hit against the goal seemed to have caused a severe concussion. That explained her sensitivity to light, her sight that seemed to have worsened, and the puking. The medic suggested that she would stay a few days until the symptoms started to disappear because apparently, ‘rest’ was the best medicine instead of a stupid potion. The medic did give her a potion that decreased the pain.

Compared to that, her dislocated shoulder didn’t seem that bad – at least in Rosie’s opinion. It was quick yet painful to pop the shoulder back to its normal position. She was also given a second potion because she had torn a few ligaments. That was probably caused by trying to protect the goals with the same shoulder she had injured. The potion would help her heal the ligaments pretty fast, but she still had to put her arm in a sling. After the check-up, Rosemary took the opportunity to ask the medic who had won the game. The woman looked apologetic to her and gave her the answer. It was an answer that she didn’t want to hear, despite asking it.

To know that the Dementors had won, it made her almost cry. It was her fault, right? It was definitely her fault. If she hadn’t been stupid enough to try to stop that one attempt, she would still have been in the game. With some help from the medic, Rosie laid back in the hospital bed with her eyes closed. “Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry,” she muttered to herself while pinching her side with her left hand. The pinching didn’t help. She thought if she hurt herself a tiny bit, she could wake up from the nightmares. However, she didn’t know why she was fooling herself. Her shoulder hurt enough to know that she wasn’t dreaming.

After realizing reality, Rosemary tried to calm herself down. The girl knew that at least a few people would visit her in the Hospital Wing. Milo even specifically said that he would. She couldn’t show others that she almost cried after hearing the results. She couldn't show her insecurities. She couldn't show that was a loser that visited the Hospital Wing twice in one week.

They had just won! The Demented Dementors successfully won this first game with Xavier's help!! He should be feeling as excited as his other teammates were. He wouldn't mind celebrating with Serenity by loading up on lots of candy and talking about random stuff. She was truly his bestest friend, well... her and Wolfe! They were a trio that couldn't be separated but only expanded now that Eric and Will were also apart of their group of prankster friends.

Of course, Xavier had two other best friends outside of this group that he also cherished... Rose and Lucy.

If this were just any other game he might've playfully bragged in the overly ambitious Rose's face that he won and she didn't. But he would certainly not be doing that because it didn't feel that amazing of a win since she was forced to leave the game for her health. Seeing one of his best friends heads gushing with blood (the effects of the rain made it seem like it was gushing from Xavier's point-of-view) was too much. And to think that he was going to tell Lucy about his newfound crush on her... no he would have to tell her at another time.

Many people only saw Lucy at her usual grumpyness... but that was just on the surface and Xavier knew she was super fun to be around and he couldn't help but find her really cute. It was a new but surprisngly good feeling he had.

When he entered the Hospital Wing, he laid out a bouquette of daffodils and a get-well soon card he signed with a cute little puppy dog at the table by Rose's bed. Seeing her... pulled at Xavier's heartstrings. "Hey Rose! My parents said that when someone is not feeling well that this is kind of expected out of respect... and I have and will always respect you!" He then slowly came to Rose and gave her a hug, careful to not accidentally bump or touch her injuries. "Between you and me, you're going to get out of here in no time! You're like one of the strongest people I know... and I don't have any more plans for the day. So if you want, I can stay and make silly faces... like this!" Xavier made the goofiest face he could and chuckled. Hopefully he wasn't making Rose feel worse. All he wanted to do at this moment was be there for her.

OOC: Xavier's Card to Rose because it's too cute not to

"I don't think you need to make any faces for you to entertain her Xav. Just stick with the one you've got" Serenity teased with a grin as she and her furry companion made their way into the hospital wing. It was the first ever act of willingness the girl would take to be physically in this part of the castle and it wouldn't soon be repeated. EVER. The only upside was, it wasn't for her.

It was for Rosie.

Serenity didn't understand Quidditch that well. She'd never held a match for the sport or watching a bunch of circling crazy flyers go at each other with balls and bats just to score through a lollipop? Didn't make sense but neither did a lot of things in life, like her being the one to have a malfunctioning brain that hated bright flashy lights and fizzled out often enough.

Neither the less, Serenity attended the game because her friends were playing; both of which were now conveniently in the same place. Easy to talk to this way.

"Rosie, what he said. How're you feeling after that fight?" the brunette made her way up to the girl's other side, Wolfe's fluffy head coming up to rest on the mattress just beside the girl's leg. "Cause that's what it looked like to me. Taking on boys far bigger than you and still you didn't give in. I'm both impressed and concerned for you" Serenity offered the girl a smile. She really was there out of sympathy and needed to make sure her friend was alright. Wolfe was anxious the moment he smelt bloody midway through the game.

"And yeah good work to you too Xav" her smirk was back while looking at him. "You caught the shiny ball. Well done. More shinies for your collection yeah?"

Quidditch was fun to watch, even if Eric wasn’t all that interested in actually playing sports himself. It was especially fun to watch when three of his best friends were playing in the game. It was unfortunate that they played on different teams. To make up for this, Eric continually changed his hair color throughout the game from Dementor green to Lethifold blue as he alternated his cheers for Xavier, Will and Rosie. Of course, in the huge crowd he doubted that any of his friends would make him out, but it was funny to him nonetheless. The good thing was that Eric would have someone to be happy for no matter who won. Unfortunately, Rosie did get hurt in the process of the game.

Even though Xavier had to put away his stuff and Serenity tended to take longer to do things, Eric still got to the hospital wing after them. On his way there, he had had a sudden idea of something to bring to Rosie and ran back to the Wampus common room before heading to the hospital wing. So when he came in, Xavier and Serenity were already talking to Rosie. Fortunately, she didn’t look too bad, maybe just a bit upset about the results of the game.

“Are we doing funny faces?” he asked as he walked into the room, grinning around at his friends and pulling one of signature goofy faces, giving himself an upturned nose and large ears for a moment. “Nice job, Xave,” he said, trying to keep his tone congratulatory, but also not draw too much attention to Rosie’s loss. That was the only problem with his friends being on both teams. If they hadn’t been right in front of Rosie, he would have given Xavier a high-five.

“Hey, Rosie. I brought you something to… brighten your day,” he said, putting particularly emphasis on the last three words. With that, he reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the weather crystals he had gotten from Serenity’s brother, one that produced a warm sun effect as opposed to an actual storm. “I thought you might like it after the rainy game.” He held the crystal out for her to take.

As soon as the game was over Lucy had went in search of the tall dark haired boy that went into immediate rescue for her best friend. After a good chat about what he wanted to do to help her, and Lucy barely understanding anything he said, she nodded and searched immediately for her friend.

Assuming she would be in the hospital wing, she headed that way straight away. The chat with Sebastian had taken a lot more up of her time than she had expected so she would not be surprised if she was the last one there to see her. Unfortunately, Lucy was not able to get anything for her, just concern and the need to be by her side.

Slamming the double doors open, Lucy walked in with haste pretty much ignoring everyone in the room. She noted the visitors that Rosie had acquired but Lucy's main focus was making sure her best friend was alright. Possibly a lecture somewhere in there about health coming first. Glancing once at Xavier, Lucy gave a brief nod and went to Rosie's side, grabbing her hand. "Are you okay? I watched the whole thing, why didn't you get off the field immediately!" She looked around, daring anyone to step in while she was giving her lecture to Rosie.

The young witch did not care about the others in this current moment. As soon as she knew Rosie was okay, Lucy would be more welcoming. Until then, the fierce protectiveness she felt for her friend would not go away.

Milo’s mood was as grey as the sky as he walked back to the castle after the Lethifold loss. He felt the weight of defeat weighing heavily on his shoulders, but he knew that if he was going to go see Rosie in the hospital wing that he needed to shake it. If he was feeling this way about the loss, he could only imagine that she felt the same, if not worse--having been pulled out due to an injury. He didn’t blame her for it, and Tanner had been able to step up in a pinch and managed to save a goal.

A loss was a loss, though, and losing sucked.

After showering and changing out of his gear, Milo sulked his way to the hospital wing, only to be greeted with a throng of people, blocking the girl from view--including the opposite teams seeker. Milo tilted his head back and sighed as he stared up at the ceiling. He’d promised to come see her, but he his ego was very fragile and he couldn’t handle being in the same room as Xavier. Immature, maybe, but that was the way things were. He stayed for a moment, thrusting his fingers into his blonde curls as he debated whether to stay or go.

She had a lot of visitors, she probably didn’t need another one at the moment. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he turned and headed back for the Wampus common room. He’d come back at a later time. Hopefully once his mood was better.
