As you come to the doors of the castle, marble statues of Isolt and James can be seen on either side of the door. The Entrance Hall is circular room with a glass cupola. A balcony one floor above the ground circles the room where the older students sit to watch the sorting. In the empty space are four large wooden carvings; the Horned Serpent, the panther Wampus, the Thunderbird, and the Pukwudgie. These are the four houses.
The first years step onto the Gordian Knot that is found in the middle of the stone floor. When the student steps on the knot, one of the wooden carvings will react if they want the student into their house or not. The Horned Serpent has a crystal on its forehead that will light up, the Thunderbird will beat its wings, the Wampus will roar, and the Pukwudgie will raise an arrow.
After the sorting is complete, the students will move off to the Grand Hall for their Welcoming Feast. Off of the Entrance Hall, you will find Corridors, Secret Passageways, and Empty Classrooms for some staff and student fun.

As you enter the Grand Hall, the first thing you might notice is how warm and inviting the atmosphere is. The cold stone walls of the castle are forgotten as the many beautifully designed fireplaces are lit with fire's light. High above are circular windows that allow for sunlight to poor through during the day and starlight to be seen in the evening. Plants and painting of former headmasters/mistresses and staff line the walls, giving the room a more homey feel than a cold castle.
There are four long tables that fill the empty space of the room with magical candlelight to add to the atmosphere. Above each table is the banner with the House Crest on it. These banners are only present for the Welcoming Feast. Students from each house will sit at their assigned tables for their first night and welcome the newly sorted students into their house. After their first night, students may sit at any table.
The staff table sits along the front of the room so that they can be seen by the students and they can see the students.

Get to class! Get house points! Be good little students. Please note that every classroom has a portrait of one of the founders or previous staff headmaster/mistress or valued staff member who has a matching portrait within the Headmistress or Deputy Headmistress's office. There are no 'true' secrets within these walls.
